Christine Marie “Chris” Koska (not in photo) age 58, died unexpectedly on Saturday, November 28, 2015 in Lake Geneva, WI. Chris is survived by her sister Maureen (Ronald) Jacobson, nephews Brett (Lissette) and Eric Jacobson and Niece Noelle Jacobson. Also her great nephew Maxwell Jacobson as well as two great aunts Loraine Pagni and Eleanor Koska and several loving cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents Anthony and Mildred Koska and many aunts and uncles. Christine was born on November 3, 1957 in Chicago, IL to Tony and Millie Koska. When she was in middle school, her family moved to Homewood, IL where she graduated from Homewood-Flossmore High school. While in college she studied abroad in Rome for a semester which was one of her favorite experiences. She graduated from Loyola University of Chicago with a bachelors in Speech Communication and later with a Masters in Education. After moving to Highland Park IL, Chris began working as a teacher and eventually got into the medical software field where she worked for several companies as a project manager. Although she never had children, she treated her nephews and niece as if they were her own. Chris had a passion for theater and was involved in several productions as a cast member and director with the Highland Park Players theater group. She was a generous and wonderful individual who loved dogs and her family. People often said she had an amazing smile and infectious laugh. She will be deeply missed. (KXAN Austin,Tx) – Austin police released the name of the man who died early Friday after being struck and killed just after midnight at the corner of Braker Land and Metric Boulevard. Joseph Alexander Legault, 53, was walking in the crosswalk across Braker Lane from north to south on the east side of Metric Boulevard. A Honda Accord was traveling westbound on Braker Lane and struck Legault. He was taken to University Medical Center Brackenridge with critical injuries where he later died. It does not appear alcohol was a factor in the crash, according to police.

Joe was a film editor and was in the process of preparing to go to edit film at the Summer Olympics Games in China. He was a member of the Green Lake Rotary Club, and the Shorewood Home Owners Association of Green Lake. Age 51, died at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. Saline, MI. Peggy was born in Evergreen Park, IL the daughter of Harry and Elise Kabbes. Peggy received her undergraduate degree from St. Mary’s College of Notre Dame and her MBA from the University of Colorado. Peggy has been employed at the University of Michigan since 1995, most recently as the Associate Vice President of Finance. Survivors include her husband David Norgren, her three children: Jack, Neil, and Michelle; her siblings: John Kabbes, Martha Hesse, and Mark (Kim) Kabbes; and her mother Elise Kabbes. Randolph “Randy” W. Erickson, August 27, 1957 – October 11, 2014, age 57
formally of Owensboro, passed away peacefully at his Kentucky Lake home with his wife and chilcren by his side. He was born in Chicago, Illinois to Carole Erickson Landon and the late Charles Arthur Erickson. Randy graduated from Homewood-Flossmoor High School, Flossmoor, Illinois and the University of Kentucky where he was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity. He was a member of St. Matthews by the Lake Lutheran Church in Gilbertsville, Kentucky. While in Owensbora, Randy was an active volunteer in the Davies County Select Soccer program and U.S. Swimming, serving on boards for both organizations. he served as the swim team coach at Daviess County High School, volunterring his time and talent and subsequently winning Kentucky Regional High School Coach of the year. Randy loved to cook and over the years won several ribbons and trophies for his outstanding barbecue. After moving to Kentucky Lake, Rancy spent much of his free time on his boat and dock, fishing, entertaining friends and hiking through the woods to photograph wildlife. He was also an avid runner, competing in several marathons, including two Boston marathons. Most recently, Randy became a proficient wood turner, and traveled to many classes and demonstrations to hone his art. Randy was employed by British Petroleum Gas and for 30 years and was a much loved and respected member of the gas industry, well known for his honesty and integrity. He served as a tireless volunteer in Louisiana during the Gulf oil spill. Randy is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Shannon (Morrison) Erickson; son Brad Erickson; daughter Emily (JP) Feighery; mother Carole Erickson Landon; brothers Richard Erickson and Robert (Laura) Erickson; brother-in-law, Dana (Diane) Morrison; nephews Erick Erickson, Patrick Erickson, Robert Erickson, Nate Morrison and Andrew Morrison; and great-nephew Brantley Erickson. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. with prayers and a time of sharing at 7:00 p.m. and after Noon on Thursday until time of service. age 39, a pharmacist in Elmhurst, died Tuesday in St. James Hospital, Chicago Heights from an aneurysm. Mr. Cann died after being admitted to the hospital with headache pain. He worked as a home health-care pharmacist for Caremark International. He is survived by his wife, Teresa; two sons, Brynden and Corey; his parents, Robert and Lillian; two sisters, Robin and Teri; and two brothers. Encephalitis Shelley contracted Encephalitis in 1979, and shortly thereafter became comatose. Her family moved her into a 24 hour convalescent care center when it became apparent that she would not recover. She remained in a comatose state until she passed away.
Michelle “Shelley” A. Purcell-Mays Age 57, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2014 at VNA Hospice in Valparaiso. She was born on December 15, 1956 in Davenport, Iowa to the late, William and Vivian (nee Ehrecke) Purcell. She worked as a cafeteria aid at John Wood Elementary in Merrillville. She enjoyed spending her time with her grandson and relaxing in the pool. Michelle was a devoted wife, a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She is survived by her husband; Mark Mays of Hobart; Michael (Adair Coventry) Mays of Hobart; daughter, Megan Mays of Hobart; grandson, Alexander Mays; two brothers, Timothy (Leslie) Purcell of Texas, Terry (Mindy) Purcell of Illinois; two sisters, Mary Beth (John) Keener of Illinois, Trish (Bob) Seymour of Ohio; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends. Thomas Jensen was a graduate of Homewood-Flossmoor High School in Flossmoor, Ill. He was pursuing a degree in nursing at Southeast Missouri State University. He had been a paramedic with a private ambulance company. Survivors include his parents of Somonauk, Ill.; a son, Eric Jensen of Elgin, Ill.; a daughter, Lynnea Jensen of West Chicago; and a sister, Lore Norberg of Downers Grove, Ill.
